A Whole New Respect
So, in high school I was quite impressed with my ability and speed in building boxes to store files in (I had to do it a lot at my parent's dental office). . . . but then one of the girls at Disney gave me some old movie advertisement material to take home for my kids. This was box folding like no other. I have a whole new respect for the movie advertisements I see at the theaters now. I hope that Disney has a whole department just to make these crazy things. It definitely took a high level of skill to complete. I think I've assembled furniture that was easier to put together than were. Here are the pictures for your joy and entertainment.

Family Picture Day
So . . . it had been a while since we had taken family pictures. Here they are for you r fun and enjoyment.

Do you like my open mouth? That is what happens when you are so worried about getting the 2 year old to smile you forget about making what you look like.

Just us . . . not bad except for Michael's hands.

Kind of boring.

Playing around.

Have You Used Your Musclers Lately?
#1 came in just now and asked if she could use my musclers . . . I asked her what a musclers were and she told me it is the things I put in my hands and go up down up down with (ie - hand weights). I told her sure, she could use my musclers. She said she needs to borrow them so that she can get strong for the Pampered Chef party I'm hosting tomorrow :)

Our New Babies
WE ARE PREGNANT . . .
WITH TRIPLETS!!!!
Just Kidding, but my friend had this on her blog and I couldn't resist. I had to try it. Please pardon our pictures we didn't know where any good head shots were so we just took new one's with the our phones. I thought it was just a random trait mixer because I don't think it looks like either of us (or our current kids), but if you look close you'll notice all three pictures are the same face.

What Do Lawyers Do?
So . . . Todd's Cousin Greg was over for Memorial Day. Emily really had a good time playing with him and was telling me about all the things they did. Then she asked what Greg did for a job. I told her he was a lawyer and she asked what that means . . . How do you explain that to a kid? So, I said he helps people who have legal troubles (like that is going to mean anything to her) . . . and she said like the people who took all of the seesaws out of the parks. . . . So, I replied yes. He is the one who is single handedly responsible for taking all of the seesaws out of the parks. Sorry, Greg, but somebody has to be the fall guy and I'm sure that somehow in someway a lawyer was involved and the banning of seesaws.
So, Greg, next time my daughter asks you about seesaws you'll know why.

The Quote Wall
So Todd was really productive last week and painted the living room a sage green. It looks really good . . . but we moved the furniture around and there is this one wall that now looks like it needs something. I've always loved random quotes . . . so, I think I'm going to make this my quote wall. The first quote will be "Life's an uphill climb . . . but the view's great"

Kiss My Owwweee
So, #2 was eating some fruit snacks and bite his tongue and started whining. Then he comes over as says kiss. I sadly assumed he would want a kiss on his cheek to make it better, but ohh noo. He needed a kis on his boo boo so he walks over sticks out his tongue and totally expected me to kiss his tongue. Gross.
Speaking of gross things, everytime Mikey sees anyone kiss or hears someone say kiss he says ew. . . yuck.

Missing out!!!
I read my wife's posts but I am never mentioned. Am I missing out on my children's childhood? Have I lost significance as a member of the family (I don't think so)? I think because my work schedule, 3pm to 1am, Thursday - Sunday, I am feeling this way. The times my wife is off work I am either sleeping or at church with little quantity of time to spend with my family. I spend my days off with the kids but it seems like they do so much more with their mother in just the two days they are with her. I will admit it is sometimes a struggle to get out and do things Monday - Wednesday. After all it is my weekend and I needing some time to relax but I'm expected to clean the house and watch the kids which is a job and a half on top of my monitary job.
At the end of my weekend I hardly ever feel relaxed nor do I feel like I've accomplished anything. I've recently had a discussion with my wife about our goals so hopfully things will be better and I will feel included and accomplished. I'm not placing blame on my wife, I understand I have to figure my weekend schedule better. It's just my daughter is 6 and my Son is 2, I just don't want to get a few years farther down the road and look back thinknig "what happened?" or "where was I?"
